Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Suzuki XL7, we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness, with a Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part Number 118432. Now, here's what our wiring looks like installed. So this wiring is designed to be stored inside the vehicle when it's not in use. That's a great feature, because it helps protect it from the elements, and potentially any dirt, debris, or corrosion which could happen inside of our socket, even though our socket is protected by this dust cover. Now, this wiring harness gives us the basic lighting functions that are required by law, in order for us to safely tow a trailer. Our white wire here is our ground, and this'll provide the ground connection that we need between our trailer and our towing vehicle, giving us a good, solid connection for all of our lights to work properly. Brown wire here is our taillight and running light circuit. more

Today on this 2010 Suzuki SX4, we're going to show you part number 118456. This is a T1 vehicle iron harness with a full pull flat trailer connector. First part, to install it we need to go ahead and open up the back hatch and we need to go ahead to move floor coverings to get down to the spare tire area. Next, we also need to remove the threshold. There will be two plastic fasteners, one on each side to remove. We'll take a flat head screwdriver to pull up the centers, and then pop them loose. And then with steady pressure on the bottom, we can go ahead and pop the threshold loose from the snaps. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2002 Suzuki XL-7

Today we are working on a 2002 Suzuki XL-7. We will be installing a Tow Ready T-one connector. The part number is 118372. We are going to start by opening the rear door of the vehicle and accessing the luggage compartment. Before we can begin our install, we are going to have to remove the cargo tray here. There are a total of four screws that will need to be removed to make this happen. Now we are going to pull apart these hook and loop fasteners. We will just set the tray to the side for reinstallation later. With the storage compartment out of the way, we are going to go ahead and remove the lower two fasteners here to the trim panel. OK, with those two removed, we will get in behind the trim panel here. With the trim panel pulled back, we can locate the manufacturer towing connector. 0:58 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Suzuki XL7- Video

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Suzuki XL7

This T-1 connector gets mounted inside the vehicle and we have to take out the inside quarter panel. Its a pretty easy, well show you how to do it. The object is we have to get behind this panel over here, but to do that we have to take off this threshold strip because part of the panel lies underneath it. So well take off these tie downs and we should be able to take this threshold off. To get this off theres clips underneath here, you can use a wide screwdriver or gasket scraper. The wider the better to better distribute the force while prying it up. Once you get that off we can start working on this panel here. Now that we have the threshold off we can loosen this panel. We take out these two screws and the rest of the panel kind of pops off. Try to take out as little as possible so you can reach in and get to the connector. more
